Project Kickoff for the Post Road Waste Water Treatment Project in Carencro, LA

Southern's team along with city leaders, workers, and citizens came together to kick off the project.

The groundbreaking of the Post Road Wastewater Treatment Plant marks a pivotal step forward in Carencro’s long-term infrastructure strategy and signals the start of one of the most consequential public investments in the city’s history. City leadership, project partners, and community stakeholders gathered to officially break ground on the $42.7 million facility, which will replace aging systems with a modern, high-capacity treatment plant built to support continued residential, commercial, and industrial growth. Designed with future demand in mind, the project reflects a proactive approach to infrastructure planning as development accelerates across the region.

“This groundbreaking isn’t just about building a plant — it’s about building opportunity and security for our citizens and businesses for generations to come,” said Mayor Charlotte Clavier, underscoring the project’s role in bolstering community resilience as Carencro continues its remarkable growth.

Key Projects Successfully Completed

Delivering complex projects on schedule, with quality and consistency our clients trust.

At St. Edward’s Church, our team completed renovations with a high level of care and precision, balancing modern construction requirements with respect for an active place of worship and its architectural character. The project demanded thoughtful sequencing, attention to detail, and clear communication to minimize disruption while delivering meaningful improvements to a long-standing community landmark.

At the Offshore Energy Services Amelia Shipyard, Southern Constructors executed critical infrastructure improvements within an active industrial environment. Working around ongoing operations required a safety-first mindset, tight coordination, and an efficient construction approach to keep productivity high while meeting the demands of a working shipyard that supports Louisiana’s energy sector.

Meanwhile, the Switzerland Road Bridge replacement highlighted our strength in civil and transportation construction. The project improved safety, durability, and reliability for local motorists while addressing long-term infrastructure needs. Through careful traffic management, structural coordination, and schedule discipline, the bridge was delivered with minimal disruption to the surrounding community.

Together, these completed projects demonstrate Southern Constructors’ ability to adapt to varying scopes and environments while delivering results that meet client expectations and support the communities we serve.

Celebrating the Holiday Season Together

Closing out Q4 by bringing our team together to celebrate the work behind the results and the momentum carrying us into the new year.

As the year came to a close, we brought all Southern companies together to celebrate the holiday season and the people behind the work. The Christmas party was a chance to step away from job sites and schedules, reconnect as one team, and recognize the effort, dedication, and pride that goes into every project across our organizations. It was a well-earned moment to slow down, share stories, and enjoy time together outside of the workday.

More than a celebration, the night served as a reminder of what makes Southern strong—collaboration, shared standards, and a commitment to doing things the right way. As we wrapped up the year, the gathering reinforced the culture we’re building and the momentum we’re carrying forward, setting the tone for a focused, energized start to the year ahead.

Closing 2025. Focused on 2026.

Closing out 2025 with a look back at the progress we’ve made and a clear focus on where we’re headed in 2026.

As we close out 2025, we do so with a strong sense of direction and momentum. This year was marked by meaningful growth across our companies, the successful execution of complex projects, and a continued emphasis on quality, safety, and accountability. The year-end reel highlights the progress made, but more importantly, it reflects the people and processes behind every result.

Throughout 2025, our focus remained on strengthening collaboration between teams, improving efficiency in the field, and setting higher internal standards. Each project completed and milestone reached reinforced our commitment to building with purpose and delivering work that stands the test of time. These efforts have positioned us well as we move into the next phase of growth.

Looking ahead to 2026, we are focused on momentum—expanding capabilities, refining operations, and pursuing opportunities that align with our long-term vision. With a solid foundation in place, we’re entering the new year prepared, confident, and ready to raise the bar for our clients, partners, and the communities we serve.
