Project Manager - Commercial Building Division
Location: South Louisiana (projects vary)
Schedule: Full-time
Compensation: Competitive salary + vehicle allowance (DOE)
Position Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Commercial Project Manager with 5+ years managing large-scale commercial building projects. Candidates must have proven experience with CMAR (Construction Manager at Risk) and Design-Build delivery methods, collaborating with owners and design teams during preconstruction, budgeting, and construction phases.

Oversee budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and compliance
Key Responsibilities

Lead all phases of commercial building projects ($5M–$50M+) from preconstruction through closeout
-
Collaborate with owners, architects, and engineers in CMAR and Design-Build delivery
-
Develop budgets, schedules, GMPs, and cost controls
-
Manage subcontractor procurement, contracts, and performance
-
Monitor progress and ensure quality, safety, and specification compliance
-
Oversee project reporting, RFIs, submittals, and change management
-
Provide leadership to field superintendents and project teams
-
Build lasting client relationships and represent Southern Constructors professionally
What We’re Looking For
-
5+ years of PM experience on large commercial building projects
-
Direct experience with CMAR and Design-Build (required)
-
Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Civil/Structural Engineering, or related field (preferred)
-
Proven ability to manage $5M–$50M+ projects
-
Strong leadership, communication, and planning skills
-
Knowledge of building codes, municipal regulations, and industry best practices

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PM software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera P6)

OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain)

LEED accreditation or sustainable building experience a plus
